Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya Government Degree College Palahi Patti, Varanasi, U. P. was established in 2004 at Varanasi- Sindhora road, Varanasi. It is 13 Km away from Lal Bahadur Shashtri International Airport, Babatpur, Varanasi. The main idea behind its establishment was to provide quality education to rural and urban students in order to bridge, the gap between rural & urban students. The college is recognized under 2(f) & 12(b) of U. G. C. act in 2012 January.
Foundation: Gov. order No. P.U/402/70-5- 2001-40(9)/2000 dated 7 th March 2002.
Total Land: Approx 8.20 hec.
Founded by: Hon. Mr. Rajnath Singh (Chief Minister, U.P.) on 25 th November 2002.
Inauguration: 20 th November 2004 by Hon. Ram Asre Vishwakarma (Minister of Higher Education, U.P.).
The college was started with seven subjects of Arts Faculty- Hindi, English, Sanskrit, History, Education, Sociology and Home-Science. In the year 2012, the college got affiliation for one more subject i.e. physical education.

The total strength of students in the college is approximately 800. This college is known for its discipline, quality teaching, fair examination and high pass percentage. Several activities are organized in the college for overall development of the students. With the financial help of U. G. C. we have three smart classes established in the session 2012-13.
Departments: There are eight optional subjects taught in the college: Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Sociology, Education, History, Home- science and Physical Education.
Compulsory Subjects: Rashtra Gaurav and Environmental Science. Due to an increasing demand for post graduate classes, application for starting P.G. in Hindi, sociology and Home Science has been forwarded to the U. P. Govt. Higher Education.
P.G. Courses :The postgraduate course in Hindi and Sociology has started from 2019 and has successfully completed two semesters.
